Garona, in a daze, stared blankly at Lu Li. She didn’t bat an eye when Lu Li entered.

The mechanical dog noisily turned away to leave as she finally gathered herself and fixed her gaze on Lu Li and the head held in his hands. Then, she laughed.

Lu Li couldn’t tell what emotions resided within this laugh. He felt no feelings of satisfied vengeance or rage.

“I knew you could complete this quest right from the beginning,” Garona boasted, “There’s determination hidden within your eyes – a determination that won’t give up until you’ve achieved your goal. Throw that dirty head out. What can I do with that? It’s been so many years.”

Lu Li shrugged his shoulders and repacked the head into his bag.

“Even if you don’t want it, I do,” Lu Li thought. He wasn’t going to just throw the head out. He planned to check the bounty board later in Alliance cities. There should be Bygraves quests available and he could use the head to claim the bounty.

The system announced that Lu Li had completed the quest and was rewarded with a certain amount of experience and reputation. No skill points were given out, but he wasn’t disappointed – he knew that these rewards were just an appetizer. The real rewards were to be handed out by his teacher herself.

“What happened to your girl?” Garona asked.

“Let me check.”

After Lu Li confirmed that Water Fairy was online, he then replied, “She’s waiting for your summon. She did a lot this time and took a lot of damage—”

“Pfftt,” Garona interrupted, then went into a daze again. However, she then took out something that appeared to be a Pocket Watch. These kinds of items were classed as accessories in Dawn. One of the most famous Pocket Watches in the game was Moroes’ Lucky Pocket Watch.

Moroes was a boss from Karazhan, and he was Medivh’s butler when he was still alive. Lu Li suspected that Garona might even know Moroes personally. He wasn’t sure if this was the Pocket Watch that Garona was going to hand to him.

“You can have this,” Garona said. She held onto the Pocket Watch for a moment, then gave it to Lu Li.

If this was the quest reward, Lu Li would be very disappointed. He wanted more than this accessory. No matter how exquisite this accessory could be, he wouldn’t be satisfied. He wasn’t short on accessories, and even if it was Legendary, it wouldn’t be as valuable as an empowerment skill book.

His teacher was one of the top characters in Azeroth; there was no way that she didn’t have any empowerment skill books to hand out. However, he still humbly received the item.

After he obtained the item, he discovered that it was actually a two-piece item, or rather, it was a beautiful set. Lu Li realized that this was an equipment for a male and a female. He could tell this from the colour scheme and design of the Pocket Watches. One of the Pocket Watches had softer colours with unknown flowers emblemed all over it. The flowers bloomed, contrasting with the cold mechanical watch.

The lady’s watch was called “Dawn of All Beings”.

The male Pocket Watch was called “Ragnarök”. The set only had 2 attributes. The first attribute increased Stamina Regeneration by 50%, under the circumstance that the wearers were within 5 yards of each other. The second gave the ability to summon the owner of the other Pocket Watch for a maximum of 3 times a day.

Stamina had always existed in the game. It wasn’t possible to continuously run dungeons without taking breaks in Dawn. This was why every time the team cleared one, they’d have to rest for a while. This wasn’t just for preparation, but it was also because of their low stamina.

The same applied to levelling. Even the most passionate leveller couldn’t maintain maximum levelling efficiency at all times because of their stamina restriction. Once their stamina dropped to a certain level, a player’s attack and the amount of experience obtained would be reduced. If the two players with the Pocket Watch set farmed together, then their levelling efficiency would be a lot higher.

Lu Li couldn’t help but recall the marriage system at level 60 after he came across this summoning effect.

Marrying each other in the game didn’t mean that the two players were in love. Some people just wanted to use the summoning skill the marriage system provided.

This Pocket Watch set was clearly an upgrade because it could be used 3 times a day, while the marriage system could only summon once a day.

However, the Pocket Watch wasn’t perfect either. It’d take up an accessory equipment slot, so it would have to be swapped in and out at times with other accessories.

“Master, this equipment is...” Lu Li trailed off. He couldn’t quite understand the situation.

Strictly speaking, this was definitely a good item. For someone who wanted a girlfriend, this item was even better than a legendary equipment. They could use this to tie the knot with their girl. However, Lu Li didn’t really need something like this. What he really needed was something that could improve his overall strength.

“Since she got injured during the event, this Dawn of All Beings can be a reward for her,” Garona smirked, a smile creeping across her stony expression. Then, she pointed her fingers at the Pocket Watch in Lu Li’s hands.

Immediately, a row of text appeared at the bottom of both Pocket Watches. Under Dawn of All Beings it wrote ‘bound to Water Fairy’, while under Ragnarok, it wrote ‘bound to Lu Li”.

Lu Li nearly swore on the spot.

He could’ve sold this for at least a million dollars in real money. The wealth of millionaires was not to be underestimated. If they truly liked something, especially items like these two Pocket Watches which came in a set, it would be no problem at all to sell it for a good price with Shen Wansan’s capabilities.

But in an instance, these two rare items became worthless!

A bound item meant that it could only be used by the player it was bound to. They couldn’t even trade it with others, let alone sell it.

“Alright, go and give it to her after you return,” Garona paused for a bit, then continued, “You have to give the ladies a little more love, or else you’ll come to regret it one day.”

Even someone as dense and dull as Lu Li could feel the gentleness and regret in her words.

Garona didn’t look old, but Lu Li could really feel the age of the strong half Orc. Her kindness and gentleness came with her age. Lu Li was surprised, but it also touched him a little.

“Okay, I’ll make sure to give it to her. I’m sure she’ll like it a lot,” Lu Li decided. His Pocket Watch didn’t have any special designs on it. It was also shaped like a strange half-moon, while Water Fairy’s was embellished with a ring of delicate flowers. Overall, it wasn’t hard to tell that Water Fairy’s Pocket Watch had taken more effort to design.

Lu Li thought that this set of Pocket Watches must have been designed by a man.

They had to be for someone he loved, for him to put so much time, effort and passion into them. He was curious as to who designed this item.

This could’ve been a gift for Garona herself. Then, could it have been Medivh, Lothar or even Khadgar who gave this to her?
